The Road Less Traveled

Here is a picture of the world's least thrilled baby..... Oh, how she loves wearing a hat with a chin strap.

Cami's now has a love for playing the piano, I think we are going to get her a little one for Christmas.

And then, the last three are me trying to get a Christmas card photo this weekend. The dress is her Christmas dress and I love it.

Tuesday night was not a fun one around here Cami threw up 9 times in less than 3 hours and would not drink, after calling her Doctor we had to take her to the ER. We ended up being there for about 5 hours..... The problem seems to be a sever inner ear infection, we would have never known, she was not acting different or running a fever.

The ER Doctor said I was jumping the gun a bit to bring her in when she had not been throwing up for at least 24 hours. That made me a bit mad, I told him I was not messing with my daughter's health and I was not going to wait around until she needed an IV and to be addmitted to the hospital. Then he said I guess I understand.....

So, long story short. My girl is back to her normal self, thank goodness.

We put our Christmas tree up on Thanksgiving and Cami is doing a good job of leaving it alone, she loves to move her chair in front of it and just look at it. It's only
half decorated, we kept all the bulbs out of her reach.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

I feel so blessed this year to have our little girl home, she has been such a blessing to us in so many ways.

In other news we FINALLY have a tooth!!!! Thank goodness.

The pictures from above are from this last weekend, we went up to my Grammy's and had an early Thanksgiving with my mom's family. My cousin came down with her baby that is the same age, her daughter is not around other kids because her grandma watches her, so she was all over Cami..... My Cami takes after me in that she likes her personal space, she kept telling E- no and pushing her away.

This Thursday my parents are coming over for Thanksgiving breakfast and then we are going to the MIL's for dinner..... Hopefully I will not want to drink after that.

I am still finding it hard to believe that it is the holiday season already. I have started some Christmas shopping but, still have plenty to do.... I don't think I will be heading out Friday morning, people get to crazy for my taste.

After waiting 2 years for our girl I am definetly on cloud nine this holiday season.

Yes, I know I have been MIA...... Time gets away from me and Cami has not been sleeping well so neither have I.

Anyway, we had Cami's 1 year check up. We were so excited to see that she is now 15.8 lbs and 28" long. I can't believe how big she is now. Her Doctor is so excited to see all the improvements she has made.

We have our 6 month post placement visit next month, so I have been filling out all the paperwork for that. 6 months..... WOW, time flies. I plan on taking the pictures this weekend that will be sent back to Vietnam.

As you can tell from the pictures Cami was a pumpkin for Halloween, she would say boo to the trick-or-treaters.

I am having a hard time believing that Thanksgiving is just a few short weeks away. I started some Christmas shopping last week and I also found Cami's Christmas dress.

Oh yes, and the teeth that are driving us nuts are still NOT in yet.... I can see them and feel them but, they have not broken through yet. I had a dream the other night that all of her teeth came in at once..... Seriously almost 13 months old and no teeth.

I will post more later but, I am tired and need some sleep.
